The Last Guess Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026

RocketFrogDog operates The Last Guess. This policy explains how we handle information when you play the game, use an account or multiplayer features, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email admin@rocketfrogdog.com.

Information we handle

Account information. When you create an account, you choose a nickname and time zone. We assign account identifiers and a friend code, and keep account settings, creation and update dates, account status, and deletion requests. You do not need an Apple, Google, or Steam account to create or recover a game account.

Sign-in information. The game stores a private installation credential on your device for automatic sign-in. A separate recovery code lets you recover your account. Our server stores verification values for these credentials, rather than the recovery code itself in the account database. Signing in through recovery replaces the recovery code and revokes the previous installation credentials. Keep your recovery code private; please do not send it to us by email.

Gameplay information. Online features process player and session identifiers, matchmaking and lobby activity, guesses, round outcomes, scores, timestamps, rankings, and account progress. Offline progress and preferences are stored on your device; account-connected features also maintain the progress and results needed by the service.

Technical and safety information. Our systems process connection information, including IP addresses, request times, client/build information, connection errors, and security events to operate and protect the service. We also keep blocking choices, player reports, report categories, and moderation decisions.

Contact information. If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond to your request.

How we use information

We use this information to provide accounts and recovery, connect players, run and score matches, maintain progress and rankings, apply preferences, resolve technical problems, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and enforce game rules. Limited security records also prevent deleted accounts or revoked credentials from becoming usable again if a backup must be restored.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. The game does not use advertising trackers or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.

What other people can see

Your nickname and relevant game information, such as scores, ranking information and match progress, may be visible to other players. Friend codes and other player-facing identifiers support the game's account and social features. Party spectators can see information that active opponents cannot, including guesses or answers where the mode allows it. Avoid putting personal contact information in your nickname or shared content.

Recovery codes and installation credentials are private sign-in information; they are not public player identifiers. A friend code does not let someone sign in to your account.

Service providers and other disclosures

Cloudflare hosts this privacy-policy website and processes technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect it.

We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, backups, security records and service monitoring. Our game service is hosted in the United States, including AWS's Ohio region. If you use the game from another country, your information is transferred to the United States for this processing. Providers supporting communications may also process the information needed to deliver and handle messages.

We limit service-provider access to the work they perform for us. Authorized personnel may access information to operate the game, handle support or moderation, or protect accounts. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to respond to a valid legal request or protect people and the service. We do not give other players your private sign-in credentials.

App stores and device platforms handle information they collect independently under their own privacy policies. Installing the game through a store does not automatically link your game account to that store account.

How long we retain information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including resolving requests, meeting legal obligations, and protecting the service. Different categories have different retention periods:

Information Retention
Account profile, account-linked preferences, progress and ratings While your account exists, followed by the deletion process below.
Detailed online match results Generally 30 days from the match event. Account totals and ratings can remain after individual results expire.
Result-delivery records and session associations Acknowledged delivery payloads expire after seven days, capped at 30 days from the result. Other delivery records expire within the permitted 30-day delivery window. Terminal session associations are retained for 30 days after confirmed session closure. Active or unresolved sessions are handled separately so cleanup does not interrupt a game.
Routine technical logs and operational audit files Normally 30 days. File rotation and scheduled cleanup can add processing time; this is not an exact per-record deletion deadline.
Server authentication logs Normally 90 days.
Player reports 180 days from submission. Account links are removed when the account is purged.
Moderation action records While needed for the account's moderation history. After account deletion, the account link is removed and the remaining record is retained for 180 days.
Ordinary game-data backups We maintain short recovery windows. Residual account data in ordinary recovery copies expires within 30 days after removal from the active account store.

Monitoring health reports are normally retained for 30 days. Superseded monitoring state is retained for seven days, while current state remains available to prevent repeated alerts. Versioned storage can retain an old report version for one additional day after it becomes noncurrent, followed by normal storage-service processing time.

Deletion and credential-revocation security records have a separate retention rule. These records contain limited account references and credential verification values, not a full copy of your profile or match history. They are pseudonymous, not necessarily anonymous. We retain the linked security history needed to prevent a restore from reactivating deleted accounts or revoked credentials. We review that need at least every 90 days. There is no fixed per-record deletion deadline while those restore protections depend on the history. We retire old security history only after a verified replacement protects all remaining recovery paths; recovery copies of retired history can then remain for up to 35 additional days. We do not use these records for advertising.

Where a specific legal obligation requires different retention, we limit the retained information to that obligation. Deleting your account does not erase information from another player's device or copies they independently made of information shared in play.

Your choices and account deletion

You can change your nickname and time zone in Account, subject to the displayed change intervals. You can also replace your recovery code and request account deletion there.

Deletion has a seven-day grace period. You can cancel through the account restoration flow before the deadline. After the grace period ends, our scheduled process removes the account from the active account store, normally within the next 24 hours. This removes the profile, account credentials and account-linked progress, and removes links where the retained record has a separate safety or security purpose. The backup, safety and security exceptions above continue to apply. Removing the app alone does not request server-side account deletion.

You can contact admin@rocketfrogdog.com to ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion assistance. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to a copy of your information, to object to or restrict particular uses, or to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify that a request concerns your account. We do not ask you to email a recovery code to prove this.

Local settings and offline progress can remain on devices or in device-managed backups. Use the device's app-data and backup controls to remove those copies. Server-side account deletion does not remotely erase every device backup.

Younger players

The Last Guess is intended for adults and teenagers aged 13 or older. Children under 13 must not use the service. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact admin@rocketfrogdog.com so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Teen players should avoid sharing personal information in nicknames, game content or support messages.

Security and policy changes

We use encrypted network connections, restricted administrative access and other technical controls to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and recovery code, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice where required for material changes to how we handle personal information.
